Edgar Gets a Stamp!

I love snail mail and send lots of it, so I often get different types of stamps to spruce up my envelopes. Last week, I got sunflowers and Chinese dragons that are cool. But today, they finally got in the Edgar Allan Poe stamps.

Poe's work is so dark in an awesome way. I remember reading and loving the poem Annabel Lee in high school. Do you know it? Edgar falls in love with the sublime Annabel Lee, but the angels are jealous and sending a killing chill. Despite her death, he vows their souls will never be separated and lies down next to her body.

Love & death. Always a fabulous literary combination. ;)
