"Fairy Muse" by Linda Ravenscroft

I just had tea with my friend Laura, and, knowing that the fae play a big role in BARELY BEWITCHED, she brought me a fantastic gift. It's a book called ENCHANTED by Linda Ravenscroft. For anyone who likes fairy stuff, Ms. Ravenscroft's work is beautiful.

Here's the link to her website: http://www.lindaravenscroft.com/store/

Meanwhile, the Labor Day weekend's kicking off. I've got a book signing this weekend at Katy Budget Books that I'm looking forward to.

What about you guys?
Are you traveling?
Are you planning to read, and, if so, what?

Hi Kimberly, I'm so happy you like your gift. But I think you might need to reread your blog, lol. You put my name instead of Linda's name when stating who the book is by, lol. I love her artwork and I hope the beautiful fairies in this book give you lots of inspiration.
Too answer your question, I'll be working that day. Then getting things ready for my vacation on that Friday. I can't wait!!! Enjoy your weekend and have fun at the signing

I'm starting my 10-day weekend, so to speak: vacation tomorrow and all next week. I'll do some reading, not sure what yet, but hope to be writing quite a bit.

Laura -

Thanks so much for catching the mistake, and I hope you have an awesome vacation!

Far - I hope your "ten-day weekend" goes great, and that you get tons of writing done!!

We'll be staying home unless we go to our daughter's to help with their remodeling. I'm going to spend the long weekend trying to get my house cleaned and straightened up before we head out for a Texas vacation the end of the month. I'll be doing some reading. Just finished WOULD-BE WITCH last night and really enjoyed it. Have about 4 books in the works right now and hope to finish at least one of them over the weekend.
Will be picking up your next book for our library as soon as we get more book money.

Thanks for posting that link! That picture is absolutely gorgeous! :)

Well, I am celebrating my 30th birthday this weekend! My birthday is Sunday & I know family & friends are coming into town that particular day. I am not sure what else is planned. I plan on turning it into a weekend-long celebration, though. (including an extra day! hehe)

As for reading - I am going to start Would Be Witch as soon as I finish what I am currently reading. (Succubus Heat by Richelle Mead)

Hope y'all have a great weekend!

Patricia - I'm so glad that you enjoyed it, and thank you for getting BARELY BEWITCHED for your library, too. The more readers the better, of course!!

As for using the weekend to help your daughter with remodeling, that's kind of you, but a little crazy. I know people like to use extended breaks to do home projects, but using time off from work to do work seems counterintuitive. I think you guys should go to a spa instead!

I'm headed to Rhode Island for the weekend. It's my hubby's grandparents 60th. I'm taking my Sony Reader packed with books!

Rhode Island - that's a place that I've never been, but have always wanted to visit. Have a great time!

Actually we'll be getting a break soon. Our one daughter has been living in her sister's camping trailer all summer while the house has been torn apart. They NEED to get back into the house and have a real bathroom and bedroom. At this point, she doesn't care if the kitchen is done. Our other daughter wants their camper back. They have missed a whole summer of camping.
On Sept. 27, my husband and I will be heading for Oklahoma and Texas for a 2 1/2 week vacation. He really needs the break. We are really looking forward to it. Maybe we can catch a signing while in Texas.

Just relaxing at home, here. I'm reading the two new books I bought this weekend, Sarah Atwell's Snake in the Glass and Julie Hyzy's Hail to the Chef. I'll be reading Barely Bewitched as soon as my copy gets here, though!

Went to Bandera, they were having a parade and Pow-Wow there and the inlaws were there. Today we had lunch with them here in San Antonio at Perico's (love their food!)
Hope everything went well in Houston and it wasn't too hot. Thankfully we just got a break from the 103, 104's.
Love the pics, the fairys are beautiful.
Here's wishing you a Magical Week!
My Labor Day week was a bit dull. But that's alright. Labor Day I turned a year older. During school I always loved when my birthday fell on labor day (doesn't every year but every so often) so I didn't have to go to school.

Barely Bewitched should get there any time! I mailed all the PARAPALOOZA prizewinners books out a few days ago.

I hope you enjoy them!

I love the title, Snake in the Glass. I'll have to check that one out. Did you enjoy it?

A parade! How fun. Except if it was too hot. The weather wasn't terrible here in Houston. Pretty hot, but not unbearable.

You got to stay home from school on your b-day? What a nice present!

Sorry the weekend was dull. Mine was a mixed bag of work and play, but I did have fun.

Hope your week is great!
My copy of Barely Bewitched is being shipped as we speak. We'll see when it gets here....

Kimberly, I haven't finished it yet, but I'm sure I will. All her books are good. Hail to the Chef was wonderful, though! I got sidetracked reading "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society", and didn't get to Snake in the Glass yet. Glad to hear about the mailing, I'll have to stalk the postman!

Thanks! I hope you like it. Was great seeing you at DilloCon. :) I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll hear good news from you on your writing.

Shel-
Yes, do stalk the postman. See what's up. ;)

I stalked with success! The package got here today, and I didn't scare the postman TOO badly with my fangirly squeals. Lots of extra goodies in there too - Thanks Kimberly, Kerrelyn, and Kim!
p.s. Kimberly, absolutely LOVED the handwritten note, that goes in my memory book!
