I think I'd like to be bored...
"The penalty for success is to be bored by the people who used to snub you." -- Nancy Astor

I'm brainstorming new story ideas, so please be on the lookout for my muse. She's about 5'6 and was last seen wearing gold bangle bracelets and cornflower blue slingbacks while in the stands at a relay medley swim meet in Bejing. Please don't mention my plan to chain her to a chair for a few days. Just tell her that there's a house party in Houston with raspberry margaritas. If she's reluctant to leave China, add that it's being held in her honor. Gets her every time. ;)

  1. You're lucky… I've told you about my muse, right? Olga?

  2. LOL, beautiful, Kimber. My muse is trapped inside my skull and keeps sending incoherent messages to the outside world via my unfiltered morning conversation.

  3. Far,

No, you have not told me about Olga. Please do! Is she a gymnast?

  4. Kelly -

Ah, morning conversation. These days I am mostly speechless for the first hour of the day because 4 a.m. is such a ridiculous time to be conscious (unless one has not yet been to bed.)

Still, I like getting the workout done before I'm awake enough to resent it.

  5. Hey Kimber,

Ditto on the pre-brain workout, though for me it comes a few hours later. In case you missed it over at Wyrdsmiths, thanks again for putting out the cards for me. Let me know if you want me to return the favor some time--like next spring's con season which start pretty close to your book launch.

  6. I actually saw your muse running around in my flowers this morning. I yelled out my door and told her to get the hell off my lawn, but she just laughed and ran away. Sorry I didn't catch her for you, but I lost my head. Not a great excuse, but if I see her again I snatch her up, bag her and mail her to Texas!!!! PROMISE!

  7. Kelly: Thanks to Kimberly's cards, I have "WebMage" coming in a box from Amazon tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it.

  8. Ro -

Yes, please catch her! I'll use it as an excuse to come pick her up in Nashville.

    Miss you!

    Kimber

  9. Marshall,

    good to see you here!

    talk to you soon,
    Kimber
