Sunday Morning "Floured Eggs" in Paris
Good morning, cyberfriends (not to be confused with Superfriends in which case we would all have to be wearing capes.)
Chez Nancy is on Montmarte today. When I was growing up, my mom used to make my brothers and me this flat delicious breakfast food that she called "floured eggs" because that's what her mother called them. We ate them with syrup like pancakes, and I preferred them to anything else. It wasn't until I became an adult that I realized they were actually crepes. LOL
Do you like crepes? Do you take them sweet or savory? Would you eat them in a box? Would you eat them with a fox?

I'm taking my cue from Nancy and posting the Sunday morning post before hitting the sack tonight, in case there are any early risers who want to chat amongst themselves.
Will have tea (nod to Kelly) with you when I wake up and I plan to be a better hostess today as I will be revising from home.
Mmm, crepes! I'd love some right about now, alas, I think brekkie will be Cheerios, instead. :)
The clocks are switched and the sun is out. Perhaps spring really is sneaking in.

I don't know any French. (I butchered the language using a phrase book when I was in France though, and you can imagine how much the natives enjoyed that.)
Good for you guys for remembering the time change. And good for me since I forgot until I read your post. ;)
I'm making cinnamon rolls (for real!) this morning, to celebrate the beginning of DST. I wish I'd remembered the time change before I went to bed though, 'cause I stayed up way late & set the bread machine timer to finish at 7:30. Which turned out to be 8:30. So the schedule's just a leeeeeetle tight this morning.
Like Maria, the clocks are switched and the sun is out. Unlike Beth, it's closer to 25 than 45 here. Bleah.

Cinnamon rolls sound great. So far though, I'm only awake enough for some wild berry tea.
If you care to tell, what are your plans today?
I haven't written a lick since Wednesday, so I plan to keep my butt on the couch and write. And hopefully convince myself to watch the Pilates DVD I bought last month - and maybe even DO some of it. Argh. Too many hours on the couch, too many meals out this week.

I can relate. It's too easy not to get exercise even though it's so important for overall health. Today I had protein for breakfast.
I like that Kelly treadblogs. If I did that I'd definitely break my laptop, so I just listen to music or books on tape. In fact, that would be a good thing for me to do today for a break from editing.

There are couple of tricks to treadblogging. Once you know them it's not that bad.
One is mount the laptop shelf on the wall so that the computer is isolated from vibration and the screen is at eye level.
Two, you need a trackball that you can attach to the treadmill--I used velcro. So that you don't have to reach up and mess around with the computer while you're moving.
Three, if you need to type something longer than a sentence or two, either stop moving or wait till you get done. This is mostly about static electricity rather than bumping things about.
Gonna grab tea and go. I've got to help my mom and grandmother get ready to move to their new house this weekend. Bleah. Then hopefully I can sneak in some writing time.

This is one of my ongoing index projects. In this case it's for Teresa and Patrick Neilsen Hayden's most excellent Making Light blog. Teresa and Patrick are editors for Tor books with a deep understanding of the F&SF publishing industry and fan culture among other things. I'm actually doing two for them, one general and one writer specific.
The links to those are on the upper right side of the Wyrdsmiths front page. There are also indices of Miss Snark (an absolutely fabulous agent blog that's not being updated any more) and the wyrdsmiths blog itself. I do these as service to writing community and to help me organize the info and prioritize it after reading through.
That reminds me that I need to make your blog known to a wider circle than my little but wonderful blogosphere. I just posted the wyrdsmiths link on a couple of writers' loops.
Thanks for all the hard work that you and the other wyrdsmithers do. It's great. :)
But I'm an Army brat, so I also remember going to the Officer's Club for Sunday brunch and having the crepes with blueberry sauce and whipped cream. MORE YUM!

Danish ladies, huh? I dated a surgery resident whose mom was from Denmark. He never made me crepes though. Maybe if he had we wouldn't have broken up? ;)
BTW, on the crepes front, strawberry jam. Oh, and in this house they're called Swedish pancakes.
