Cruising Through January
This picture actually looks a lot like someplace other than where I live because today it's something like 65 degrees and sunny. I have all my windows open, and I'm quite convinced that this year is going to be a great one. Who says global warming is a bad thing? No one who lives in an igloo, I'll tell you that. Although, I may be singing a slightly different tune in August.
As part of my NY's resolutions, I've resolved to have more fun. To that end, I faxed some paperwork this morning so I can take a cruise later this year. It'll be my first ever, and I'm really excited. I love the water, so I think floating around on a small town for a week will be fantastic. Plus if there's bad weather, we can go around it, which suits me because I prefer to see my hurricanes from the safety of my living room.
If you're out there and feel like commenting, tell me about your NY's resolutions or your favorite vacations.

Any trip that takes me to where my friends are, or to a pretty place, is a good thing in my book. If it involves friends AND a pretty place AND writing - well, heaven.
That sounds fantastic. Was your semester one where you were learning writing craft? How awesome!
I've been to Belize and loved it. Stayed at a lodge that Francis Ford Coppola owns. They had the most amazing gnocchi there. Kind of a crazy place to find it, huh? Anyway, they had 9 gardeners, and I got the sense if a couple of them took a sick day the jungle would swallow us up like some kind of lost city. Hmm. Sounds like a good idea for a screenplay.
Anyway, it was great. One of these days I need to toss up some pictures.
Having mor fun is ALWAYS a good thing! I hope you enjoy your time floating;) I've never taken a cruise but i'll add that to my list of "to do" things.
Once a year I am starting to take the kids to a different state. Have fun while learning something. We started the tradition last year and we went to the mountains in Oklahoma. Hell, I didn't even know they HAD mountains until we decided to go...shakes head...
Anyway, this year we are going to Colorado. I've never been and can't wait to see THOSE mountains!
Have a good evening!!
I'm going to visit each of my blog-friends everyday. AND comment (which is the hard part)
It seems I'm an introvert even when it comes to blogs. So, I've been visiting, but lurking.
NOT anymore! That's my resolution anyway.
I love hearing about the travel plans.
Are you being like Calgon, taking me away. Go ahead, do so, I'm tired of household chores.
Kb - Napa Valley is, I think, one of the most beautiful places on Earth. I loved that place. And I can totally see why you love San Fran, etc.
:)
